The two new USB batteries are rechargeable AA batteries, which are equipped with a USB connector at the top. The principle is exactly the same as with normal AA batteries, as these provide a variety of devices with power. The USB batteries are not charged, however, a separate charger, but you can just let it connect to the PC and load. The charging time is provided by the manufacturer with approximately 5 hours and the USB batteries not only have the advantage that you have no extra charger needed anymore, but these also have a greater capacity of about 10-25% in contrast to NiCd batteries.
