Motorola Droid X2 Use Dual-Core CPU and Higher Screen Resolution


Recent leaks that have unconfirmed report suggests Motorola is prepping a sequel to its supersized DROID X smartphone that will improve the device in several key areas. Motorola launched the DROID X last year as its first entry into the popular new extra-large smartphone space.

Motorola Droid X, which was launched mid last year in America alone is big enough and sophisticated, with a 4.3-inch screen, 854 x 480 resolution, 1 GHz CPU, 8MP camera with dual LED flash. Reportedly specification will be upgraded to a 1GHz CPU Dual-Core Tegra 2 and a resolution of 540x960 (still the same screen size).

Rumors of other specifications that include OS Android 2.2 Froyo, 8MP camera with 720p HD video recording, streaming support DLNA, HDMI out port, and MicroSD slot. The handset is expected still to be launched by the operator customers, Verizon Wireless, while the release schedule and pricing details are not yet available. The possibility of the price will remain the same which is $199 with 2 year contract.
